Max Alley Delivers 3 Family Dollar Stores for Simultaneous Grand Openings!

Fast Track process and great people deliver record breaking development and construction activity for July 2016

 

Max Alley’s Construction Group overcame record setting spring rainfall in Texas which allowed Family Dollar Stores to simultaneously open 3 new stores on July 28th, 2016!

Under the leadership of Duane Shelton, VP of Construction, projects in San Antonio, Longview and Winona, Texas were all delivered within budget and ahead of schedule.

In addition to the openings celebrated on the 28th, Max Alley fast-tracked July deliveries of three additional family Dollar Stores located in Conroe, Port Arthur and Tyler. [MAP]


Duane Shelton, a 9 year veteran of the company and VP of Construction, offered praise to the entire Max Alley Team. According to Shelton, “The high expectations set by Curt [Green] and James [Herrington] have trickled down to every last employee and subcontractor, making this a very successful month for us and our partners”.

Max Alley has been a preferred developer and contractor with Family Dollar for almost 18 years and won dual recognition in 2015 as Developer of the Year and Contractor of the Year. The Company has completed over 250 freestanding stores while remaining loyal to the Family Dollar brand amidst a variety of discount retailers.

Hovis Brings Over a Decade of Business Development Experience to Max Alley Real Estate Services

Andy Hovis will oversee growth in national franchise and corporate clients as well as provide leadership in selecting, constructing, and ultimately opening new strategic locations for Max Alley’s client-partners.

Andy Hovis will oversee growth in national franchise and corporate clients as well as provide leadership in selecting, constructing, and ultimately opening new strategic locations for Max Alley’s client-partners. Hovis will also play a key role in Max Alley’s customer relationship management and be responsible for Max Alley’s new Houston office.

Hovis comes to Max Alley from Christian Brothers Automotive Corporation (CBA), where he has worked since 2004, and as Vice President of Real Estate since 2006, a role that made him responsible for CBA’s strategic growth into over 24 states and 150 markets. During his tenure, CBA developed over $250 million in real estate assets, became the fastest growing automotive service franchise system, was in Franchise Business Review’s Top 50 brands in franchise satisfaction for 9 years in a row, and not a single CBA location developed by Hovis and his team has closed its doors.

He attended Texas Christian University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Hovis is also known for having the best beard in Fort Bend County.

C.E. Palmer Achievement Award Recipient

Curt Green, a founder and managing member of Max Alley, was recently recognized as the recipient of the C.E. Palmer Achievement Award from the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce. This award is presented annually to a Texarkana citizen in recognition of a lifetime of dedication and service to the community. Curt joins a very small and select group of men and women who have been honored with this award, including Texarkana’s own H. Ross Perot.
